Oh the relief. We still haven’t started on the haymaking, what with the weather weeping onto the fields, but there were two dry days, enough for the sheep to shed the water from their fleeces and for the shearer to divest all of them from their coats.
That made me smile; no sitting here when the shearer is at work; one of us is filling wool sacks, the other cliking the lambs, both of us moving the next lot of sheep into the shearing trailer.

Those newly shorn sheep look just peachy. And what a good job son of the shearer did. Very smooth.

I’m the muggins at the back of the race pushing the sheep through - although, I contend it’s the best seat in the house!
